
Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to all driving tuition provided by JE Driving LTD, trading under Drive with Jon, a self-employed Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) (“the Instructor”).
By booking lessons, you (“the Pupil”) agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and do not affect your statutory rights.
2. Nature of Agreement
The contract for driving tuition is between the Pupil and the Instructor directly. The Instructor is not acting as an agent or franchise.
3. Bookings
Lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. A booking is only confirmed once payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed.
The Instructor reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking at their discretion.
4. Payments
Payment must be made in advance or at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed. Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer, Cash.
Block bookings must be paid in full upfront. Discounted block bookings are conditional on full completion.
If a block booking is not completed, lessons already taken may be recalculated at the standard hourly rate and any difference deducted from a refund at the instructor's discretion.
5. Cancellations & Missed Lessons
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full. Failure to attend a lesson (no-show) will result in the full lesson fee being charged.
If the Instructor cancels a lesson, it will be rescheduled or refunded.
6. Punctuality
Lessons start and end at the agreed time.
If the Pupil is late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time. If the Instructor is late, the lost time will be made up or rearranged.
7. Pupil Responsibilities
The Pupil must:

Hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence

Be legally and medically fit to drive

Inform the Instructor of any medical conditions or licence changes

Be fit to drive and not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing medication
The Instructor may cancel a lesson if these conditions are not met. The lesson fee may still be charged.
8. Behavioural Conduct
The Instructor maintains a professional learning environment.
The following will not be tolerated:

Abusive, aggressive, or threatening behaviour

Discriminatory language or conduct

Failure to follow reasonable instruction

Any behaviour that compromises safety
The Instructor reserves the right to terminate a lesson immediately and/or refuse future bookings. No refund will be given in such cases.
9. Instructor Responsibilities
The Instructor will:

Provide a safe, roadworthy, dual-controlled vehicle

Deliver tuition in line with DVSA standards

Act professionally and respectfully at all times
10. Driving Tests
The Instructor reserves the right to refuse use of their vehicle for a driving test if the Pupil is not considered test-ready or if safety may be compromised.
The instructor will give at least 2 weeks notice for refusing use of the vehicle for a test.
Test bookings are the responsibility of the Pupil unless otherwise agreed.
11. Refund Policy
Refunds are only provided for unused lessons.
Unused hours for block bookings are fully refundable.
12. Lesson Validity
All prepaid lessons must be used within 6 months of purchase. Lessons not used within this period may be forfeited without refund.
13. Use of Vehicle & Damage
The Pupil is insured to drive the Instructor’s vehicle during lessons.
Where damage is caused due to negligence or failure to follow instruction, the Pupil may be liable for costs up to the insurance excess.
Agreements may be put in place to pay for damages outside of any insurance policy where reasonable and at the instructors discretion.
14. Liability
The Instructor is not liable for:

Driving test cancellations or changes made by the DVSA

Delays due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances

Mechanical breakdowns (alternative arrangements will be made where possible)
Any lesson time lost due to Instructor-related issues will be rescheduled or refunded.
15. Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and is used only for delivering driving tuition services.

16. Complaints
Complaints should be raised directly with the Instructor in the first instance. If unresolved, complaints may be submitted in writing and may be escalated to the DVSA where appropriate.
17. Changes to Terms
These Terms may be updated at any time. The latest version will apply to all bookings.
